Swanley Santa

Swanley Park puts on a good Father Christmas gig, so we went back there this year to see the jolly one. This time we were joined by Alfie, Ruby Mae, and their parents Sally and Jon. It was a lovely day out but somehow we have ended up with very little photographic evidence of it.

Centre Parcs

At the beginning of December '06, we celebrated my father-in-law's 60th by spending 5 days away with David's family at Centre Parcs (a huge vacation village in the woods) in Wiltshire. Of course the weather was a bit wet and cold, but that made the heated pools all the more inviting!

David and his mum give us a smile:

Ian and his cousin Eileen are happy to see each other. Eileen and Fred's joining us was a pleasant surprise for Ian.

MACS & MAPS
Our gathering saw no shortage of men accumulating around lap-tops and site maps. The maps were particularly confusing for all of us. Thankfully, Mac computers are rather more human-friendly!

A falconry session for the birthday honoree:

Here we have Felix, having just woken up from his nap in the stroller to see singing reindeer. What could his brain have been making of what his eyes were telling him? Suffice it to say that the jolly singers stopped us all in our tracks.

I don't know what kind of tree this is but I'm sure I'm not the first to be struck by its beauty and impressive stature. Felix and Beth were exceedingly interested in splashing in the series of puddles nearby.

Unfortunately, I didn't come away with many sufficiently un-scary photos of the Richardsons for this entry. To see better pics of this time away, click on 'December 2006' in the 'Archives' section of our sister site (maintained by David's sister Sarah), www.csbrrichardson.blogspot.com.
